Create a New POS User

Creating a new POS user is easy and can be done by the default WordPress Add a User functionality. Under the WordPress admin, select Users. Select Add New.

Add the user information as required to create a user in WordPress. Under the option Role. You can select from the available POS user types: Administrator, Manager, Cashier or Kiosk.

Click Add New User. The POS user has been created.

Single vs Multiple User Access

Single User Access

  • Using Single User Access support, under the POS > Settings > Users you can define the users with Cashier or Manager access to the POS. Users not defined with access will not be able to access the POS stations. The View POS button will be hidden for users not defined with access.

Multiple User Access

  • Using Multiple User Access support, under the POS > Settings > Users, input the Multiple User License to activate the functionality. Once activated, each station will support settings to allow user level access permissions by station, under Edit Station > Users > Users Allowed to Access Station. The access can be granted to All users, or granted at a Select users level. Once granted, the user will only see the stations they have been granted access to in their admin or dashboard view.

User Access Permission Management

The admin user account for the Point of Sale can manage the user level permission access to the POS.

POS > Settings > Users

Warning: Modifying the default user permission can cause the users to get access to admin level features or cause the Point of Sale to not properly load data. Verify any changes prior to releasing the change to the live Point of Sale version.
